SFX VS. VFX

SFX

-Special effects are you Physically add on set to achive a shot that wouldn't naturally occur on the it,s own.

VXF

-Visual effects are effects you add with computer that did not exist in real life during the shoot.

This can be anything from a fog machine or explosives straltegically placed in a desert to go off during a war scene.
